Sorry for the late edition, I intended to update from work this morning because I was going in a little early. Only...

Our building had been struck by lighting. Everything was FRIED. This included one of the biggest and most important servers in our company. From the moment I walked in the door until just this moment I have been doing nothing but retrieving files and resetting accounts and control damage.

I am frazzled to the core, I want to go home and get under my bed and hide and never come out. never.

*hugs* Wow, I feel for you. I remember the damage control I had to deal with the day I walked in to work and discovered that someone broke in and stole two tvs, four computers. I had to clean the mess, find the cds, and all my backups.

It was a mess, but eventually, things work out. =)

So much for slacking today, huh? You better slack extra hard this weekend.

That's what happens when you give Thursday "pre-slack" day privleges. You've probably disrupted the whole ~Week~ routine. Wednesday will be whiny, and Monday will be totally, annoyingly self-righteous. Friday will have regular migraines, and lack of self-worth. Thursday, of course is now delusional. Tuesday wants to have Kittens. And Saturday just wants to be a Holiday every week.

I work for a Very Large Data Storage company, who has the *worst* policies ever for doing internal backups. If something like that happened here, we'd be so very screwed.

Fortunately, thunderstorms are few and far between in my corner of the world.

I used to have fears as a child on lightning bolts hitting the house, or the trees around the house. *lives in the middle of a forest* Then I got more scared when we went from electrical heating to gas heating, I thought we'd blow up. XDD Ahh, the fun of childhood fears.
