OMFG I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH! Hello, obligatory 'I'm so bored at work' post I probably won't get to answer any comments to until I get home.
I miss being online all day more than I thought I would, I've only made ONE icon in the past two weeks and I haven't written a word of BLTA in more than a week. What's wrong with me? *whine* ZOOFIC that's the problem! I've written a gagillion words of zoofic. I have got to get back to BLTA, it's the exhibition chapter! I really do have plans (I think) for BLTA, I swear! Feel my guilt, smell my desperation!
Well, I better conclude this before I get caught.
*clings to FL again*
I miss youuuuu *wail*

day jobs ::sigh::
Date: 2006-01-04 10:18 pm (UTC)Sadly, day jobs suck up so much writing time...I work a tech writing manager for a large software company, so by the time I get home from work, have dinner, and perform necessary household chores, it's about 9pm and my brain is desperately tired from dealing with various crises while trying to craft clear conscise documentation. The Muse just wants a stiff drink and a nap at that point, and isn't too happy about being kicked off the couch and forced to provide the next scene for a fiction work-in-progress.
So, as you can probably guess, my writing output has decreased since I graduated from uni. A lot. These days I'm lucky if I manage to produce a chapter a week, and it's always frustrating to have the Muse speak to you on the drive to work in the mornings, and realizing that you're going to have to remember that wonderful line of dialogue until lunch break rolls around...
Anyhow, gambatte! and I look forward to seeing the next chapter of BLTA whenever it wants to be written.

Date: 2006-01-04 11:38 pm (UTC)I have so much of BLTA in my head that begs to get out. I got involved in a joint writing project and that eats some of my time (I'm one of those writers that can write only ONE thing at a time for some reason), so that stalled BLTA. Now going back to work full-time has stalled it further. I'm glad you understand how it is to work all day and just be too drained to go any further.
I'm sure that once I get my 'work legs' back I'll be able to work on BLTA fairly regularly again. The holidays over, I'll be able to get back on track I'm sure. I really hate making people wait (I hope that doesn't sound pretentious, I know that ppl have a lot more important things to do than to wait on me to write a chapter!). I'm hoping to steal some quiet time this weekend and get some of it done! *crosses fingers*
Thanks so much for the words of understanding, I appreciate it! =D
