All good things come to an end. As much as I hate to see it go, I knew it wouldn't be here forever. I'm very happy that we got TWO anime, (maybe another movie?) and all the wonderful manga.

But really, just being in the fandom was the best. I will never know another fandom community like Fullmetal Alchemist.

FMA is over, LONG LIVE FMA!

Oh how I'll miss the manga. And though there were some things I would've liked to know how they really end, everyone got their happy ending, which was good.

Even though I didn't like the manga / Brotherhood as much as the first anime, it always seemed like some constant in the world that would never end... And here it is, 5 or 6 years after I got into FMA for the first time. It's so sad to finally see it go. I have to wonder if we'll ever see any official spin-offs, the way there are with Evangelion nowadays... I guess only time will tell.

I think fandom to me is such a strong force of its own that I'm not really grasping this as the end of anything. OK, so we know how it ends, but there are still blanks to fill in, or possible future foibles, and we're no strangers to AU.

Maybe I'm just in denial.
