Hot Cocoa and Hard Marshmellows

If any of you are raving fans of Stone and Fen, as I am, then you'll remember a little snippet about Stone and Fen and hot chocolate and Stone telling Fen that the rock hard marshmellows in the hot chocolate still melt.

Well...

We came home from work to find a half a gallon of milk that had been shoved to the back of the fridge was frozen solid. Hakuyama's answer, make a half a gallon of hot chocolate. This is no problem, myself being the worlds biggest slut for hot chocolate and cold winter nights looked forward to drinking so much cocoa my eyeballs would float. I sighed in disappointment however when I realized..you guessed it..no marshmellow. But wait! I tell myself, didn't we have some of those pumpkin shaped marshmellow peeps from Halloween? Wasn't there a box of them left perhaps, in the pantry? I shall investigate! Success! Little sugary orange marshmellow peeps that were vaguely pumpkin shaped, but actually more heart shaped, for my cocoa! But alas, spending the month + in my panty has made them hard..hard and rubbery.

But never fear! My eternal hero Stone says that is you put them in the hot cocoa they will melt anyway.

Well, I'm on my second cup and the damn things haven't melted yet. So much for Elvin wisdom.
