The new commenting feature is awful, especially if you comment a lot or in threads (like I do). I fear it, so just in case, I started to mirror on my dreamwidth acct (that I never use). I don't plan on running away from LJ anytime soon <3

I did some reading after I posted last night, and you may change your mind. Evidently the whole site is getting a makeover in this fashion. If you look at the comments under the rollout of 88 in lj news, you can find a link to the translated post about it with links to the new look. It's essentially being geared towards a more facebook style.
The head of LJ Russia has basically been a snarky dick and has(I think out of sheer spite), said he'd consider fixing everything but the comment subject bars. Reading some of what he's said is turning my stomach. I'll probably never delete my LJ, but man is this debacle and the way it is being handled making me glad there's another option.
