Broken Hakuyama

Yesterday Jeri was watering the plants on our screened porch. She was standing in a chair since the majority of our plants are hanging plants. When she went to step down from the chair she stepped on Junior, our 17 year old cat, in an attempt to keep from squishing him she did a hop jump back and fell over, landing on a concrete floor and jarring her hand. At first she didn't think anything was wrong than a bad bruise. The morning she was almost crying in pain. We went to the E.R. She has a broken wrist. Her drawing wrist, her typing wrist.

She should have just squished Junior.

I will Tess, but she's so grumpy right now :) They put her in a rigid fiberglass temporary cast and she's on pain meds, she has to go see a hand surgeon this week @_@. They told her if she doesn't get this treated she could lose some mobility in her wrist, not good for an artists or her job (she's on a computer all day) so I'll make sure she does everything they tell her to do!

Oh no! I bet Jeri is in a truly venomous mood...I bet Jr. thinks this is wonderful for him, now there is someone who he can beg attention from.

Tell Jeri we are thinking of her and her poor hand! Make sure she takes care of herself!

No worries there, she's going to a hand specialist on Thursday, plus I made her see another doctor. We can't afford for her to have a screwed up hand.
