Aha, that's the hexagon array.

I can tell you that I have not been attacked by any gatebabies, despite having the heptagon array tattooed on my flesh for several months. I cannot say for certain if they're just afraid of attacking a Sin or what, however.

It comforts me that they have not yet devoured you, I will remain vigilant and let you know if I have any freaky dreams, weird out of body experiences or see small black baby shaped things in my perphrial vision =/
