The first thought that crossed my mind when I heard about your situation was "They should be beaten with a stick." Then I calmed down, put away the irrational part of me that has knee jerk reactions, and thought "They should be beaten with a really large stick!"
Hang in there, the withdrawal isn't unbearable, it just feels like it is ;)
